Civ IV Not So Bad

I’ve played a few more games through of Civ IV and I’ve decided I like it after all. Playing it on a harder level that actually challenges me makes it a lot more interesting. Thinking back when I first played Civ it was a hard slog even on its easiest level to start with. The new easiest level is there to help new players take it up. Not an unreasonable thing to do.
Now its not so addictive that I can’t do anything else once I start a game till I finish. Which is a good thing for having a life 
I’m still turning the music down in the modern era rather than listening to is screech at me though.
