Vue 6 Volcano Render

The picture originally intended for last night’s post about Creating a Bifurcated Lava Flow in Vue Infinite was waiting for me when I got up this morning. Rendered in Vue 6 Infinite and resized for uploading to the web.

New Vue 6 Hot Air Balloon Render

Monday, March 19th, 2007

I thought I’d share a recent render I did in Vue 6 Infinite of a hot air balloon in front of a glorious spectral atmosphere. I set up the scene and then created an animation moving the camera vertically at a very small frame size to find the best camera position for the final picture. With everything in the right place I destroyed the animation and then set the render up for the final picture. I’m really pleased with the sun beams (or god rays as e-on call them) and while I don’t normally like lens flare after some tweaking I think it adds to the effect.
This render is part of a bigger project hence the very small Michael 3 in the basket. He’s wearing full victorian gear although it is hard to tell from this render.
