Wordless Wednesday #19
August 15th, 2007 12:11 am

A few weeks ago I posted a moth that flew into my kitchen to avoid a storm. Tonight I’ve got another one that I found there when I was cooking last night. These shots don’t really do it justice as I didn’t manage to get one of it with it’s wings open while it wasn’t flying.

moths are such smart creatures! They know when to come in out of the rain
great shots.
Great shots!
Happy WW!
You’ve captured it nicely. A really good set of pics. Happy WW
great capture and good timing too!
I hope this dude didn’t fall into the soup!
Great photo.
I’m actually afraid of moths. Makes no sense because they’re harmless but eek.
For a minute there I thought it was dead! I like the look of moths, just not flying around my head when I’m trying to sleep!
whoa, that thing looks huge! nice captures.
happy ww!
Great set of pictures. even if you don’t think you got the best photos, it looks great.
Wow I love those shots with the wings open. Happy WW
Hmmm is it a yellow underwing?
Bugs are not easy to snap, but I think you did a great job!
Now, as a knitter, Moths make me nerveous… LOL
Happy WW!
I don’t like them in the house, or any other critter either. I don’t kill them I take them outside. Great shots though. Have a great WW.
Good gravy…..that is one big BUG!!!
EWWWWWWWWWW, I am not a buggy person!
I do on the other hand love his coloring!
Great camera shots too!
Great photo. Moth’s color is great.
Mine’s up too.
Really great shots
good shots! happy WW!
Excellent series of shots. happy WW xx
Wow, when the wings are open the colour is outrageously rich! Love the markings too – well captured! I bet you had to be patient to get the ‘action shots..onya!
Happy WW! Ive got a red orchid this week if you get a chance to stop by, Cheers!
He does look huge, and beautiful. How big was he?
He was about 2cm across wings closed and probably 3-4 cm when they were open.
My brain works in odd ways because now I want to know how you tell if he was a he and just what kind of specialist needs to know that for their work…
youre creative in presenting those sets of pics.
happy ww!
EEK! I hate moths
