Thursday Thirteen #23

August 16th, 2007 11:40 pm

I did a restock of herbs and spices this week from Matta’s International foods in Liverpool where you get far more for the price than the supermarkets. They always seem a lot fresher too. When I got home I noticed I’d bought thirteen which made tonights TT easy.

So here are thirteen herbs and spices Mark Caldwell restocked this week.

  1. Mint
  2. Thyme
  3. Marjoram
  4. Parsley

  7. Dried Rosemary

  21. Sounds like some cooking is in order.

I grow some of my own herbs, but the stuff I buy I love to get from the bulk bins at the spice store. It always looks fresh and appealing that way.

  23. We just bought a brand new stocked spice rack.

Not that either of us particulary cook often. I wanted it so that I could find new descriptions for skin and eye color for my preternaturals in my series.

    It worked out really well.

I guess now I should pick up some cookbooks so they don’t go to waste. :)
