Almost lost by Life on Mars

Watched last nights Life on Mars last night. Since I know someone who reads this regularly hasn’t watched it yet I’ll avoid any spoilers. The story had me worried about half way through that they’d lost the plot. They were playing up the whole he’s from the future thing a bit too much for me. Maybe they were worried about new audience enticed in by the adverts (the best of which was the Trumptonised version of LoM)? Just felt like they were laying it on a bit thick. However they pulled it together at the end and I think it worked. Nice to see the guest stars fitting in and not trying to ham it up or steal the show.
And then they left us with the phone call at the end. I’m thinking they’ve watched Infernal Affairs over the summer.

Only just started watching Life On Mars and wished I had had seen this program earlier. The characters and premise is excellent
