PHP Smarty Templates

I’ve been wanting to start using Smarty Templates with PHP for a while. Finally got to today. I suspect in a few months I’ll wonder how I ever coded PHP without them.

Speaking of smarties – I only recently noticed that they’ve changed the tubes to a cardboard hexagon based shape. Is this some sort of Nanny state safety measure? Gone is the plastic top, so it looks like you can no longer make a ‘Smartie Cannon’ by stamping on the empty tube with the top on, thus propelling the top forwards at high velocity.
According to Nestle Rowntree it was just a redesign to make the tubes more appealing in the current market.

Now the blue smarites going white and all the other insipid new colours. So what if Brilliant Blue (E133); Quinoline Yellow (E104); Sunset Yellow (E110); Ponceau 4R (E124); and Carmoisine (E122) are a dangerous cocktail that can effect the nervous system. It didn’t do us any harm now did it. Twitch.
