V5I: Bifurcated Lava Flow

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

An updated version of this article is now available on my website at Creating a Bifurcated Lava Flow in Vue Infinite. After more experimentation I’ve finally achieved a Bifurcated Lava Flow in Vue 5 Infinite that I’m happy with. To make this I first looked at some maps of Bifurcated flows. I then drew a […]

V5I: EcoSystem to Objects Python Script

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

A little python script that will place a cube at the same location as each instance in an EcoSystem. It gives each cube the same rotation as the instance. It also scales it by the same scale factor in each direction as the instance. There is an additional parameter to allow the scaling to be […]

A Novel Experience

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

After a hiatous of several months I opened my half finished novel and started to tackle the scene I got stuck on. I hit a continuity error that I didn’t really want to fix in the first draft but didn’t think I could afford to leave unfixed either. It is now fixed so I can […]

Vue Python for Beginners Updated

Tuesday, June 27th, 2006

I’ve spent the evening updating my Vue Python for Beginners tutorial. What started as a few minor tweaks turned into a major reorganisation but hopefully it was worth the effort.

Google Sitemapped

Wednesday, June 21st, 2006

I’ve added a Google Sitemap XML file to my site today. While my site is still small I want to add a more conventional sitemap for visitors and related links navigation in the navigation bar too. I’m trying to settle on a search solution to add as well. Overkill for a small site but why […]

New Pages

Tuesday, June 20th, 2006

Even with a two hour interuption for football I’ve added two new pages to the impworks site tonight: one for VueDynamics and a contact form on the contacts page. Despite my best efforts in the limited remaining time tonight I have yet to succeed in Bifurcating my virtual lava flow.

V5I: Bifurcated Lava Flow (Almost)

Monday, June 19th, 2006

An updated version of this article is now available on my website at Creating a Bifurcated Lava Flow in Vue Infinite. I’ve been trying to make a better Lava flow in Vue tonight. I wanted a less rectangular shape preferably with some bifurcation. Not quite there yet but getting better.

V5I: Lava Flow

Sunday, June 18th, 2006

An updated version of this article is now available on my website at Creating a Bifurcated Lava Flow in Vue Infinite. I’m working on a picture of a volcanic eruption. The explosion part is coming on well, the smoke not so well. Today though I wanted to get something that might be a lava flow […]

I think I’ve now updated all the links here so they go to the right files on my new website…
