A Good Day…

So I got past the halfway point in the yet to be named bad fantasy story.

And I worked out the test mechanism for the yet to be named game. The system now has a name (it sort of did yesterday but I forgot to mention it) – The ABC System – real earth shattering announcement that that is :-)

Back to the test mechanism: A character rolls a number of dice and adds their Attitude + any relevant Characteristics. The number of dice they roll depends on two things. The first is their bravado. If it’s at maximum they get three dice. If it’s between 1 and their maximum they get 2 dice. If it’s at 1 they get 1 dice (and that’s not their maximum). If it’s at 0 or below they get no dice. The second is how many actions they’ve already had in the turn. For each one they lose a dice. Actions include moving, attacking, using a characteristic etc. When the number of dice they would get is 0 (or they decide not to do anything else voluntarily) it’s the next characters go for the turn.
